BREU RESIN INCENSE PARCEL BY INCAUSA

Ethical, Sustainable, Handcrafted.

Breu is a resin extracted from the Almacega tree of the Amazon rainforest. Used in healing rituals to ward off dark spirits and invite good energy. Also known for being used in Ayahuasca brewing ceremonies.

9 incense sticks in each parcel. 50 minutes per stick.
Hand wrapped with Traditional Nepalese Lokta paper.
Burn on safe heat resistant surface.

Pure Breu (White Lokta paper) :
Breu’s aromatic resin is rich in alpha and beta-amyrina triterpenes, which possess anti-inflammatory, analgesic and gastro-protective properties. (Dep. of Physiology and Pharmacology of the Federal University of Ceará, Brazil.) Indicated for respiratory trouble, stomach ache, liver malfunction, and mental acuity.

Artisanal Chacrona & Jagube (Ayahuasca) and Breu Resin Blend (Black Lokta paper) :
Psychotria viridis, Chacrona leaf and Banosteriopsis caapi, Jagube vine, together are fundamental ingredients preparing the sacramental entheogenic drink Ayahuasca. We are humbled, in coordination with the rituals of Feitio (Making), to add the offscourings, customarily offered back to the soil, into this special blend of Breu Resin incense.

Artisanal White Sage & Breu Resin Blend (Grey Lokta paper) :
Salvia Apiana (white sage, bee sage or sacred sage) is an evergreen perennial shrub that is native to the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico. A study performed at the University of Arizona in 1991 demonstrated that Salvia apiana has potential antibacterial properties against Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtillis, klebsiella pneumoniae, and Candida brassicae.

Artisanal Palo Santo & Breu Resin Blend (Brown Lokta paper) :
Palo Santo comes from the Andean indigenous Bursera Graveolens tree that naturally produces aromatic hypoallergenic medicinal resin that grows in concentration with age.

"From our origins of will and intention was a sentiment for purpose-commerce and sacred trade."

Sustainable and ethical harvest.

With every harvest, the Peruvian community plant more and more Bursera Graveolens trees, creating a truly sustainable and ethical practice.

Incausa represents to the native people of the Amazon basin an opportunity to preserve an integral livelihood and an alternative to industries that threaten to undermine these communities.

In addition, the work of these artisans represents a connection to their ancestry that spans millenniums, with the power to create dialogue between different cultures and break a cycle of prejudice and discrimination.
