A staple item in northern Indian households, parat bowls and plates like this were used to mix and knead dough to make chapati and roti breads. Indian women would gather with their parats and push the dough into the edges of the plate and leave it to rise atop the timber base. Each is entirely unique and tells the tales of unique families and the meals prepared and shared together. Use this beautiful piece in your home to curate a decorative display of clusters of candles, as a fruit bowl in your kitchen or as a catch all for your essential items.

Dimensions (cm): approx 36 L x 50 W x 10 H
Age: 60-80 years
Origin: Rajasthan, India
Care Instructions: Wipe with a dry cloth

Please note - these uniquely beautiful pieces are one of a kind and each item has individual characteristics that may slightly differ to the photograph displayed. Some bowls are darker or lighter than those pictured. Your selection will be chosen at random. This one of a kind piece is unique with imperfections, wear and colour variations that all form part of its patina and character. We do not view these as faults, but rather as a testament to the natural life and beauty of vintage items.
